2012 Garden Activities Workshop at Saunders Park, Lewes Road, Brighton.
Book your Spring and Summer visit to meet us at Saunders Park, Lewes Road, Brighton. We will give you a guided tour of the newly built community garden! The 3 hour visit will include a talk about the park’s history and what happened on the volunteers weekend when the garden was created in 2010. Plenty of practical activities including locating the different items found in the park, bird boxes, a pond, bat boxes, a bug hotel, wooden raised beds and identifying different flowers, fruits and trees. Followed by a drawing and story telling session. And lastly weeding, watering and digging the flower beds and wooden raised beds.
The park has seating for picnics and a children’s play area, with a paddling pool and toilet facilities. Last visit we had 20 children from St. Mary’s Magdalens Primary School, Brighton!
