- Saunders Park Community Project
- Brighton Up Your Garden were recently asked to project manage the new community garden being built in Saunders Park Brighton. A volunteers weekend had been arranged to help build the garden over the 6/7th March, which proved to be very successful with all ages groups, including families with young children in the area. During March we will be building some raised flowers beds from wood sleepers and constructing a matching compost area.
We are looking to team up with Brighton schools in the area and work at introducing the new community garden to children. Showing them around the site and helping younger people to learn more about gardening, nature, wildlife and green open spaces and the different uses they have.
We are planning to set up for schools to visit the park for 2/3 hours during this Spring and Summer. The new garden will officially open in April but is ready for visits now.
Our pricing is fixed at £16.50 per hour. A school visit to talk about gardening can also be arranged for the same price. Please contact Rebecca to book your date for a school visit.

Brighton Up Your Garden created interesting and eye catching hanging baskets for the shop and supplied the planters at the entrance of the shop, choosing colours that beautifully complement the black exterior of the shop.
Santiago Seafront Restaurant, Brighton
We used brightly coloured square containers in green and blue planted with Phormiums for the restaurant to attract new customers and diners. We offer a planting service with a massive selection of plants available from seasonal bedding to perennial plants.
Umi Hotels, Brighton
Umi Hotels choose two hanging baskets for the entrance to the hotel planted with trailing pink geraniums, which will regularly maintain.
